Many avenues are used by us to recruit drivers. We always check the local press and have found we are the only agency to invest money every week on advertising to ensure the highest level of driver availability is provided for our valued clients.
All of our drivers are reference checked and undergo vigorous recruitment procedures that include but are not limited to; Tachograph and Highway Code testing, Health Assessment, Criminal Convictions and High Value Load procedures, gear box – trailer – load familiarity.
DVLA checks are conducted at the point of registration and thereafter at least once every 6 months. Additionally, we know of no other agencies that pay an extra subscription to obtain a hard copy of the licence information that has been provided by the DVLA. This is done to prevent any verbal miscommunication.
Jobs are matched according to their previous experience and the client’s requirements (multi-drop, handball, automotive, stores, roping & sheeting, HIAB etc…) to ensure the duties are carried out effectively to the client’s satisfaction.
Continuity is one of the single most important factors of a good service. Therefore, we always aim to assign the same drivers to the same clients. Many of our drivers have an employment history +5 years with Alliance Personnel.
Comprehensive files are kept and regularly updated for all of our clients. Drivers are assigned to your requested specification. This ensures the highest quality standards of service are always maintained i.e. minimum experience, vehicle & delivery criteria, handball, multidrop, means of securing load, points/endorsements permitted, age preferences, PPE, client health & safety procedures etc… Nothing is left to assumption helping to ensure the right driver and the highest quality of service is delivered first time every time
PPE and uniforms are provided to all of our drivers, therefore presenting the expected professional image.
Handbooks & news letters are issued to drivers reminding them of the importance of their professionalism and commitment to their responsibilities. It also informs them on any issues or changes in working practices that they need to be aware of. Additionally, most of our drivers are spoken to on a daily basis and all are spoken to at least once per week ensuring a good working relationship is maintained.
